About Jawburst
3D Puzzle Solving Action-Adventure Game
Jawburst is a 3D action game focused on combat encounters and puzzle-solving within a labyrinthian environment. The player controls a jawbreaker who runs and rolls their way through a dungeon environment to break their way out of an otherwise certain death sentence. The contrast between the colorful sweets, the more demanding combat, and problem solving required is a central drive of the game.

Puzzle Solving
Meet Boop,
the jawbreaker.
The protagonist of the game is a jawbreaker candy. This feature informs the main character’s abilities. Initially, the jawbreaker will have access to movement on foot, jumping, an attack with a sword, a parry, and a dodge. This skill set has two secondary reactionary abilities: if a dodge is held the character will retract their limbs inwards and begin to roll, and every time the character is damaged they will lose layers and reduce in size.

The game environment will respond dynamically to changes in temperature, which are controlled via the oven dials placed throughout the dungeon. These temperature adjustments will actively influence the availability of pathways, providing a variety of traversal options.
